The Park is the result of a partnership between the State of Alabama, Auburn University and the City of Auburn. The Auburn Research and Technology Foundation develops and operates the park. Recently, the foundation established the Auburn Business Incubator, a full-service, mixed-use business incubator. The incubator will work closely with Auburn's economic development department. "The incubator is an asset, which will enable us to place an emphasis on the recruitment of knowledge-based projects in partnership with ARTF and Auburn University to our community," say Dunlap.
The Park recently opened the new Auburn University MRI Research Center, and construction is expected to begin this summer on the Center for Advanced Science, Innovation and Commerce. "In the long term, the Auburn Research Park and the new Auburn Business Incubator will have a substantial impact on the growth and diversification of the local and state economies," say John D. Weete, executive director of the ARTF and research park.Click here to read the full magazine article featured in Business Alabama.
